Gilgit-Baltistan: 10KG LPG Cyclinder to Cost Rs.1870 in GB

ISLAMABAD: Following the bomb-shell of price hike in gas tariff as a new-year’s gift, Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) marketing companies increased the price of cheaper fuel for common man upto Rs 5 to 10 per kilogramme (kg) across the country with immediate effect brushing aside the existence of Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).

A cartel of marketing companies of LPG announced an increase of Rs 10 per kg for the consumers fall in the areas including Northern Areas, Gilgit Baltistan, Federally Administered Tribal Area (FATA), Balakot, Muzaffarabad, Mansehra, Murree, Swat and some other adjacent areas, following increase of Rs 120 for domestic cylinder and Rs 480 for commercial cylinder in the said regions.

After recent hike in LPG price, the domestic cylinder would be available at Rs 1870 in GB, FATA and adjacent regions, while domestic LPG cylinder in Rawalpindi, Islamabad and Attock region would be available at Rs 1690, Rs 1570 in Peshawar.
